Tiffany was pacing back & forth in her room, looking over at the pensieve that sat on the corner shelf of her bedroom, still deciding - as she had been for the last half hour. Did she want to purge the memory of fighting the boggart with Soleus? She never wanted to think about it again, she could still hear it screaming in pain before turning into Soleus' worst fears, so clear it was if she was back in that abandoned shop back again. On the other hand, the fear kept her cold, isolated. She didn't want to talk to anyone, & while that seemed to make her less of a person & more of a machine, it left her concentrated. She filled out commands without a single bat of an eyelash. She'd been sent out earlier to bring back some children that had been in the forest beside their home, "dead or alive, I really have no preference" according to her mother. When they'd tried to run, she'd returned home dragging the tied together corpses of two young children, no more than 6 or 7, on a long band of leather. She had planned to levitate them, once they were strung up with each other, but decided to build her physical strength instead.
The bodies were currently being thrown about by the massive planters of Devil's Snare out front, Illsa jumping around between them & trying to catch them in her jaws, like the most disgusting, twisted version of 'monkey in the middle' imaginable to man. Tiffany continued to pace & occasionally glance at the pensieve, before deciding to head downstairs & reward her hard work with a generous glass of red wine. She was just heading down the main steps when Brent arrived home, outside.

Brent had been 'working', along with a couple of death eaters, they'd just taken out a small village bar, nobody that really mattered, a couple of clean kills to keep him in tip top shape when it came to taking out people that mattered.
Striding up the path towards the house, he ran his hands through his hand and tugged softly on his shirt, specks of blood dotted across the white fabric. Dampening his lower lip he used his hand to tug at his cloak, pulling it tighter around himself for a moment before his hand moved to pull at the fastening around his neck, tugging it off and letting it rest over his arm.
Pushing the door open to the manor, he tossed his cloak aside, deciding that Trixie could deal with it. Stopping in his tracks, he looked at the short brunette and raised a brow. "Tiffany." He greeted her lazily, hand moving to scratch the back of his head.

She spotted him & held a finger up for him to wait a moment, patting down her sweater & then holding out a capped syringe to him. "Illsa was foaming at the mouth last night. Might have been nothing but you should take this. I've taken mine already." she used the hand not holding the needle & took his arm gently, her thumb nail brushing over the most prominent vein at the inner crook of his elbow. "Here works best." she was so close to him as she spoke, eyes darting up from his arm to his eyes as she pulled away. The lifelessness was still there, possibly even more prominent, but there was something else there - a spark.
"Did you want a drink?" she asked, stepping away from him & toward the wall cabinet of wines & other drinks that needed to be aged & racked. Pulling down two glasses of pure crystal, she glanced back at him over her shoulder to make sure he was still listening, before concentrating on choosing a bottle.

Cocking his brow at her Brent waited, his hand dropping at his side before he used it to thumb over the specks of blood on his shirt. Looking up, he caught her eye as he took the syringe from her. "Hm." He answered, watching her for a moment, as though studying her as he nodded his head with a simple "alright." Knowing that if she simply wanted to cause him pain/kill him she'd come up with something smarter than a syringe of fluid. Raising it to his mouth, he tugged the cap off with his teeth before stabbing it into his arm, his thumb dancing over the top before he pushed the end of the syringe in, the fluid easing into his arm.
"Sure." He spoke as he tossed the syringe aside, his thumb pressing over the tiny nip on his arm where it'd been just seconds earlier. "What have you been doing today?" He questioned, head throwing backwards a little to gesture outside, obviously referring to the scene taking place in the devils snare.

Setting both glasses down midair, they floated in place & let her pour them full of the deep, gorgeous red liquid. Looking up at him while the liquid poured from the bottle clutched in one of her gnarled, skeletal hands, she glanced out toward the yard through one of the large windows on the front of the house, as if she'd forgotten.
"Oh, right. Them." she concentrated on pouring again, to make sure none of the liquid spilled.
"They might be a neighbor's kids. Not sure. She wanted them taken out." She obviously referred to her mother. That 'bring them dead or alive' hadn't been a comfortable conversation - she'd taken the task immediately without complaint, but facing her mother, her real mother, had been almost terrifying. The only neighbors that the Lestrange's had were quite far away, & the ones that wandered too close usually got confused & wandered elsewhere from the charms safeguarding the place. She wasn't sure she wanted to discuss the boggart with Brent. It had been a small victory, she'd killed it, after all, no matter how much it tried to get under skin she had administered a perfect killing curse. She was still edgy about the whole thing, though.

Watching her, Brent dropped his hand from his arm to his side. With a sigh, he headed towards her, stopping a meter or so away before cocking his brow just slightly.
"Maternal." He responded in yet another bored tone as his head tilted to one side, specks of blood visible on his skin. Though, it wasn't his own, he was unharmed, it'd been an easy task, really, he itched for something difficult. Something that would give him a sense of danger, something that would make him feel victorious in taking it down. Nevertheless, he settled for what he had and that was enough to curb his bloodlust.
"What have you done today? Minus taking out a couple of brats?"

"I turned out alright." Her tone was almost joking. She held the glass out to him in offering & took a long, very needed gulp from her own glass before responding to him.
"Soleus & I went into town. Got those." she gestured to the empty syringe across the room on the floor. "Went to Borgin & Burkes, too." she broke up her sentence with another gulp of wine, using it to keep her voice levels under her own control. "Picked up a case with a boggart." She left it at that, for a moment, exhaling slowly, heavily, & letting her body breathe before drinking anymore, at least for now.
Outside, a snarl ripped through the air as Illsa caught the younger boy's body by the pantleg & made quick work of snapping his spine between her jaws.

"Well as long as one of us thinks so." He replied, so simply that the harshness of his words almost softened at his tone. Taking the glass, Brent raised it to his lips and took a gulp, his tongue dabbing at his lower lip to take up any residue.
'Went to Borgin & Burkes' - his ears pricked up at those words, his gaze locking on her for a moment until she clarified what he was already thinking. "And?" He questioned, his gaze steadily locked on her.

"And then beat the ever living hell out of it." she cleared her throat. She knew she wasn't meant to kill it, but she'd almost mostly done that for Soleus' sake, & she didn't want to bring up any of his weakness to Brent. Her loyalty almost always lay with her fiance, but she was fiercely protective of her brother.
Staring right back at him, though more blankly than defiantly, she raised her glass to her lips again & inhaled the scent, just strong enough for her to notice, & took a small sip to properly taste it, this time.

"Hm." He grunted softly, sounding unconvinced as he took another sip of the wine, his brow raising over the top of the glass as he watched her. Lowering the glass he sighed heavily, shifting to rest his shoulder against the wall, leaning some of his body weight sideways.
"Care to elaborate?" He said, sounding like it was more of an order than a question.

"It's unimportant. It's dead, anyway." she said somewhat shortly, though her tone wasn't rude at all. She swirled the contents of her glass around & looked up at him, as if noticing his appearance for the first time & frowning curiously.
"Is that your blood?" she looked around him a little, tilting her head to try to see a wound that was the source, before establishing that he was clearly unharmed.

"Dead?" He said, sounding almost amused. "Did it scare you so badly that you had to kill it? Not just simply put it back where it came from?" Shaking his head, the older death eater looked somewhat unimpressed for a moment before wiping the emotion from his face. "Are you that weak? I told you to fight it, not kill it. How are you supposed to practice on something that is dead?"
"Nope." Brent shrugged, lifting the glass to his lips to take another small drink. "Quite frankly I'm disgusted by whose blood it is, dirty cretins."

"I did fight it." she said, her tone surprisingly calm. It was entirely unlike her. "I was with Soleus. It was a necessary evil. Not to mention that I actually performed a killing curse while under the taunting of a boggart. Stop looking for faults. It went well." she looked away, clearly not trying to argue with him so much as make her point & move on. She looked thoughtful, saying it aloud to remind herself properly. "And I need to pick up another. Snape has a few, the creep." she glanced back at Brent & raised both eyebrows with a small shrug.
"How many?" she asked, curious, now. She'd killed two today, which had been a nice distraction & a little curb to her bloodlust.

"Sounds like you murdered it, that's not much of a fight when it's weaponless." He retorted simply before giving her a glare when she told him to stop picking faults. "I see, get to it then, try not to slaughter this one, then you might actually succeed with your training task." "A few." He shrugged nonchalantly, "maybe ten or so?" He hadn't taken them all on alone, no, all together there had only been about ten, twelve max in the room and he'd taken out four of them. Draining the rest of the wine, Brent let go of his glass, leaving it floating in mid air as he folded his arms over his chest.
ooc. floating glass made me think of floating fruit bowl lulz.

She shook her head, "Soon." she insisted, clearly being serious. She finished her own generous glass & set it aside, looking up at him as he folded his arms & gently reaching out to unfold them, her fingers touching his dark mark for a long moment before she pulled her hand away carefully.
"I prefer raiding with you." Her words might have looked flirty, emotional, out of context, but her tone was raw, and serious. She meant everything she said, not just as a sniveling, horny little schoolgirl. Fighting at his side made her feel like a wild animal.
