Walking up the garden path he roughly let go of Tiffs arm, shoving her somewhat roughly towards a prickly bush. "I hope you understand the consequences of your actions tonight." He spoke sternly, never missing a beat as he glanced over his shoulder, giving the brunette a somewhat dark glare as he walked up the steps to the porch of the house. "Poor Tiffany, always picking fights with those stronger than her, both in mind and physically. It's pathetic, almost like you have a death wish." Pushing the front door open, Brent wandered inside, kicking the house elf roughly across the room as it greeted them at the door.

Tiff barely had time to get her footing from landing before she was pushed, only managing to catch herself by reaching out to grab a rather sharp, thorny branch. Hardly even realizing that she'd been cut, she wiped her hand roughly on the side of her cloak & hurried along the path. She let his insults roll over her - it wasn't that she was totally immune to being hurt, but she was just so used to him, now. She glanced at Trixie who picked herself up wordlessly & continued on with whatever it was she had been doing as if she hadn't been touched, then inwardly swore to keep herself that way that night.
"If you were so much stronger, you'd pick on somebody your own size." she muttered, barely audible in the terrible acoustics of the huge house. She was referring to herself, not the elf, though if she cared about the creature at all, she could have meant either of them. She glanced at Rowle, who was sprawled out on the second landing's small couch, pressed up against the wall with a dusty, thick novel open & balanced on one leg, which was propped against the arm of the couch. His eyes travelled over Tiffany & Brent before resting on the latter, smirking somewhat & going back to his book. He didn't have any sort of issue with Brent, but he just knew to mind his own business when it came to the two of them.

Brent started striding his way up the stairs, sometimes taking two steps at a time, with ease. Making it to the top he glanced the distance towards where Thorfinn was but said nothing, his anger getting the better of him that he decided against it, not needing to fight with one of the few people he managed to get along with. Walking down the corridor he pressed his back to Tiffs door before opening it and walking in her room. As soon as he stepped inside his knuckles tightened, his glare deepened and he turned around before circling the room somewhat. The whole feel of the room, being around her things, just making him angrier, the vein in the side of his head threatening to pop as he tightened his knuckles further, trying to calm himself somewhat.

She strode past him without a word, feeling both worried for her own safety, which was fairly usual around him, & completely out of place. It wasn't fair, he wasn't allowed to alienate her in her own bedroom. No one was. This was hers. The first time she'd ever let him in here had been one of the worst mistakes she'd ever made. It made her wish that she'd made good on her promise to force him to sleep in the yard, but she'd been so stupid, then. Weak & easily hurt & submissive to any of the pain he wanted to cause her.
She hated how fucking lonely she had let herself get, to the point where she was so desperate for any sort of attention that all he had to do was nuzzle up to her, fuck her brains out on the floor, then uncharacteristically politely ask to sleep in her room. She was so.. weak.
Prying the window open, she shoved aside the long dreads of ivy growing up the side of the house & whistled out into the yard. "Illdrasyl." The hyena perked up one mangled, half-there ear & then found the source of the voice, standing upright & wagging it's tail stupidly. Sighing in quiet relief just to know it was still there, she closed the window again & wiped the stray dead greenery from her hands. Both of the Carrows had grown a little too fond of the beast, & part of her was constantly worried about coming home to find the chain empty. It had taken her ages to get her hands on the thing & she wasn't about to lose it to some nutters.

Walking across the room Brent perched himself on the end of her bed, his hands relaxing and resting on the bed beside his knees, his fingers curling to hold on to the covers a little as he did. Watching her walk in the room he raised an eyebrow, almost like she didn't belong there anymore, it wasn't her room anymore as far as he was concerned it was just somewhere he could get angry, get laid, and smash things, mainly her, into things.
As she opened the window, he lazily followed her with his eyes before shaking his head and looking towards the door, his tongue danced slowly across his lower lip, dampening the dry skin as he did.
"So." He started, voice deep. "I take you do actually have a death wish, hm? Or are you just completely stupid?"

His first word shot a tingle through her that hit her like some sort of a charm. "So." she squirmed on the spot & turned her head to look at him properly, eyes first falling on the door as if expecting him to still be standing there, before dancing over to land on where he actually sat instead.
"I trust that neither isn't the answer you're looking for." she replied boredly, deciding to just grow the hell up & stop acting like such a little coward. She took a few careful steps & stopped in front of him, her midsection parallel to his own, though she was still a few feet away. She'd earned early on to keep herself out of his arms-length distance. She listened carefully for the sound of the hyena whining, yanking at it's chain uncomfortably outside. It held fast, clearly, & the whimpering died down into a bored growl after a moment.

"I was kind of hoping you'd put us both out of our misery and say both." He growled, harshly as he raised an eyebrow, his eyes following up her body till they settled on her face. Catching her eye he glared at her, as though giving her a warning as he settled his hands flat against the covers, dropping the fabric from between his fingers. "What's wrong, Tiff?" He said, standing and taking a step closer, close enough to tilt his head down against her head. "Playing tough now big bad Brent has you all to himself? You can't fool me, you're like a terrified child." He exhaled cool breath heavily against her skin before taking a wide step backwards, returning to the perching on the end of the bed. "Pathetic" he spat angrily in her direction.

She looked up at him without moving for a long moment, eyes closing when his forehead touched hers before opening them again as he stepped back, exhaling a breath that she hadn't realized she'd been holding.
"The list of things that scare me isn't particularly long," she informed him somewhat truthfully, "And trust me, you're not on it." she watched him settle on her bed again, stepping one little bit closer now. Part of her wanted him to be able to grab her, wanted to be able to fight him back & get out some of her pent-up aggression that she was worried would be wasted on the wrong person. Her brother, her mother, some peon at the ministry. She'd rather get it out of her system while she could.

Brent looked at her rather lazily, the expression on his face somewhat unreadable, although his eyebrow twitched a little, his gaze settling on hers, waiting for something to give her up, anything, to tell him she was lying. Of course, in his own mind she was lying, he'd somewhat convinced himself that she was scared of him, that and if she wasn't that she was obviously somewhat dumb. " Hm, I see." He spoke, calmly as he dampened his lower lip again, debating on his next move. He didn't want to set the record straight (i.e; put her in her place) just yet, but rather give her some kind of false state of security.

Her heart was pounding in her chest so hard that she thought she might crack a rib, and genuinely believed for a second that he could hear it. Hell, she was sure the Rowle could hear it down the hall. Take a swing at me, you ass. she thought fiercely, beginning to grit her teeth. I want to do something. Anything.. Her frustration boiled up inside of her & finally tipped over the edge.
"Don't look at me like that." she snapped, her voice nearly hysterical. She couldn't stand the disappointed, condescending expression any longer, she felt like she was going to explode.

Exhaling heavily, he still didn't move, his gaze just stayed where it was, almost warning her to back off a little. He made no noise and his hands settled against his knees. Looking somewhat oddly calm he broke eye contact for a moment before returning it. Smirking, he let out a little exhale of hair, clearly amused to the extent that he chuckled a little. " Like what?" He asked, gaze keeping steady on her. Enjoying how angry he was making her he waited, assuming she was going to take the tough and powerful road and actually start on him for a change. He sort of wanted her to start it, just so he could be sure to put her back in her place. Below him.

Giving in altogether, she literally lunged at him, taking two sharp steps closer to him at the edge of her bed & pushing at him angrily, one hand planted on his chest & the other at his shoulder. She barely had enough body weight to push him, he was like a wall of muscle compared to her, but pure angry adrenaline fueled her enough to put a little force into her movements.
"You - condescending - fuck!" she tried to string together as she struggled with him.

Brent started to laugh as she shoved at him, not an amused laugh, but something deep and sadistic. Raising from the bed he grabbed roughly at her wrist as she hit out at him, his fingers wrapping around the flesh tight enough to make it go a pale white colour, like the blood was being sucked out. His arm moving to bend her arm backwards into a disarming position so she couldn't hit him anymore. "Everyone wants power, Tiffany. Not everyone can have it." He growled angrily as he stood straighter, he put little, but enough, effort into shoving her backwards towards the edge of her dresser, and if he'd judged it correctly she has about 0.3 seconds until her tailbone made contact with it.

The gasp she let out as she was twisted around was sharp with pain, anger at both herself & him,
"Don't." her protest was only a single word, a twisted combination of defiance against him & submission to her almost immediate loss, all at the same time. The moment she hit the dresser it was like she'd been shocked, her body jerking upward again & landing flush against him, her free hand immediately grasping at his shirt, eyes slamming shut to block out the impending pain that shot through her only seconds later.

"I warned you." He spoke, angrily as he stood completely straight, an eyebrow raised at her reaction. "No fight in you, you're pathetic." He spat his words at her ads he leaned his head closer to her, his hand to roughly remove her hand from his shirt. "I can't ever bare look at you, you put up less of a challenge than a child." He spoke harshly before repeating. "A child. What use are you to anyone?" Shoving her roughly again, this time in the shoulder. " I warned you." He repeated a second time, putting more meaning into his voice.
