Thorfinn shook his head a little. "Ashley's going to be fine. Don't ever repeat this, but she could definitely do a lot worse." he paused, considering Tiffany, Ophelia's situation, then shook it off. Even Esma had been MIA to avoid being married off in the new engagement-fever that seemed to be going around, these days.

Broderick nodded and slumped into his shoulders unable to help being concerned he never wanted Ashley involved with the world of Death Eaters and the like and now with her father recruited it was only a matter of time before they would be knocking on his door giving him some sort or ultimatum much like his brother in-law.

This was clearly not a problem of Thorfinn's. He'd taken his side & stood by it proudly.
Leaning back in his seat with both hands on his pint, he gave a lazy, content look to the other man. "I may just take you up on your offer for that place to stay. You're closer than I am & I don't think I should be apparating." he gestured to his pint & then took another sip as example.

Broderick snapped out of his thoughts and smirked clasping his friend on the back "yeah sure thing mate" he nodded then finished off his drink placing some money for himself and Thorfinn's drinks. "you ready?"

He was somewhat proud, but not enough to turn down a free few drinks, especially when he was so short on cash.
"Definitely." he stood up, avoiding looking at the money that Broderick had left on the table, feeling a shameful sort of guilt creeping up his neck & raising the small hairs there.

Broderick didn't call attention to the guilty look on Thorfinn's face it didn't bother him, he knew plenty of nights when Broderick was studying to work within the ministry and Thorfinn spotted him a few drinks that is just how their friendship worked, he pulled on his cloak swiftly headed for the door.

Thorfinn followed Broderick out & the pair of them headed home leisurely.
"You are amazing, by the way." Thorfinn said seriously as he got rid of his shoes & plunked down on the couch, his obnoxiously long, spindly legs stretching out across the floor in front of him.

"Not exactly, but if you've already taken it as a compliment then I won't retract my statement." he leaned his head back with a small smirk & closed his eyes, fingers lacing together on his chest as he just took a moment to relax comfortably. He hadn't been able to do this in a while. His own home made him so jumpy, but this felt so much safer.
