Brent's skin practically began to crawl upon the moment that Tiffany smirked, his own blood feeling like it was getting gradually warmer throughout the night, though, thankfully for the sake of everyone around the table it was yet quite a far way away from boiling, he had some kind of control over it.
"Thought so." He retorted sounding somewhat annoyed as he continued to stab at his dessert, pushing it around the plate.
"Oh please, don't thank us, it's a pleasure." Brents mother replied, giving Tiffany a friendly smile before taking a dainty bite of her own dessert.

She ate genuinely peacefully, for once, letting her tensed up muscles slacken a little under her skin, letting her guard down - but only a little. She didn't necessarily feel motivated to eat, but knowing she wouldn't get another chance like this one to indulge herself, she finished what she had on her plate gratefully, without leaving it behind. As everyone else seemed to be finishing around the same time as each other, she sat back in her seat a little & corrected her posture, using her thumb to lightly run along her lower lip, making sure she hadn't made a mess of herself.

Brent barely touched his own food, he just sat there, stabbing at it to control himself, he pressed the berries against the plate, causing them to 'bleed out' their juices. A slight look of satisfaction covering his face as he did so.
Once everyone was finished the house elf popped up again, Brent pushed his chair back and excused himself to go outside for yet another cigarette, leaving it to Tiff weather she followed or attempted to make more chit chat with his family.

"I could use some air." she said after a moment of awkward silence without Brent there, before sliding her chair back & sidestepping the elf without so much as a glance in it's direction, heels clicking softly on the ground as she skittered out after him, already reaching down into her garter to get a cigarette of her own. She wasn't a smoker, per se, but certain stressful situations called for one - it was a rare occurrence for her to partake, she hadn't really smoked since the last time she'd seen Esma, which had been months ago.
Wordlessly, she stood next to him & lit her own cigarette, taking a few quick drags from it to get it burning properly, before tucking her wand away carefully & glancing up at him almost expectantly.

Brent stood against the fence that ran around the edge of the porch area. Sighing heavily he took a long drag of his cigarette, holding it in his lungs for a moment before exhaling heavily. "Trust the dog to follow its master." He spoke, cruelly. Using his free hand he combed his fingers through his hair, his other hand flicking cigarette ash into a bush.

"Are you even trying anymore?" she asked in response to his comment, giving him a disdainful look. "Bitter? Dog?" she rolled her eyes.
"Must be having an off day." she informed him coldly, taking a long drag & holding it for a moment before exhaling as she spoke. "You're boring me." Her hands shook from the sugar & nicotine on a nearly empty stomach, but the wine kept the rest of her body comfortably still as she flicked away a little ash, taking a step closer to the edge of the porch to let the breeze brush over her.

Brent couldn't take it anymore, the anger growing in him, suddenly hitting a peak as he turned swiftly, dropped the cigarette and pushed her roughly up against a porch pillar (please understand what I mean). Swiftly he pushed his arm into her neck and leaned closer, hissing harshly. "Shut your dirty little mouth, slut." He growled before dropping his arm, freeing her. "Or you're done for, mark my words you're done for." He threatened, his eyes flashing a shade darker as he inhaled harshly, calming himself down a little before smacking the pillar beside her head, millimeters from her face before storming back indoors to meet his family back in the living area.

He completely threw her off guard & nearly gave her a heart attack, causing her to snap her cigarette in half, though it continued smoking, broken in her fingers, then coughed & rubbed at her neck with her free hand, catching her breath as she bent over in the middle. She barely had time to register him leaving, but once she noticed she was alone, she straightened up & tried to calm her speeding pulse, taking a small, shaky drag of her cigarette.
Deciding not to fight with a broken smoke or bothering to repair it, she finished it to the tear & tossed the rest aside angrily, running her hands through her hair as she tried to remind herself how horrible it was. How horrible he was. She had no idea what was going on with her, she knew that she truly had no feelings other than anger toward him, but she also knew that part of her reveled in him getting angry. Having him slam her against things or argue with her felt better than the ignoring did.

Standing at the living room door, Brent pressed his hand against the wooden frame, his knuckles turning white he was putting that much pressure against the wood. "Tiffany and I need to be excused, she has things to do at home and I have things to do also, though, I'll be home late, probably." He spoke simply to his family, not even waiting on a response before he turned, walking up the staircase to the second floor, his hand trailing against the wall as he walked towards his room, going to collect a jacket of sorts.

She gave a little bow & quickly followed him, but didn't stand too close & certainly didn't go near enough to enter his room. She focused her attention on the walls of the home, desperately hoping to catch sight of some sort of family portrait, though she didn't come across any on her path that she took. Sighing in disappointment, she waited outside of his room impatiently, squirming on the spot but not saying a word to reference her distress, knowing much better.
Crossing one ankle behind the other, she bopped up & down a little to keep her anxiety under control, out letting it physically instead.

Brent crashed around his room a little, looking for something to wear before he finally managed to settle on a tight striped tee with a cut out v shaped neck, something else that pulled in all the correct places to show off his toned chest. Glancing at his reflection in the mirror he grunted softly to himself before grabbing a couple of other things and shoving them into a messenger bag. Throwing the bag on the end of his bed he wandered across the room, stroking the top of his ravens head, petting the animals somewhat heave handedly. Turning swiftly, he walked back across his room, picking up his bag as he did so and walking out of his room. Placing his hand on Tiffs arm, he didn't say a word before disapparating to Lestrange Manor.
