SOLEUS LESTRANGE
Hey there! My name is Jess and I am 18. I have roleplaying for 5 or 6 years, can't entirely remember. I don't have any other characters here. I'm not sure how good I am at this style of RP because before when I RP-ed it was a lot more straightforward to forgive me if I suck. The character that this application is for is a OC. Now to the character information!

Soleus was born on the 3rd September to Rodolphus and Bellatrix Lestrange. He was the second born as his sister, Tiffany, is a little less than a year older than him. Even though Soleus was the younger of the two, he'd always looked out for his older sister whilst they were growing up. When Tiffany was eleven she was sent to attend Hogwarts, while Soleus being the male was sent to Durmstrang to study the Dark Arts, and become a successful Death Eater like his parents before him. By the time he was fourteen he had become a Death Eater, and even though he was only young, he knew what he was doing and was naturally talented at the Dark Arts (with his parents being Mr & Mrs Lestrange, he'd have to be a complete screw-up to not be). His sister, Tiffany began training once Soleus had finished.
When Soleus was mid-way through his 6th year at Durmstrang, he decided that it was best if he came home to live with his family, and could attend Death Eater meetings properly. This was in part because he wanted to help Tiffany who wasn't coping well at all with the murder of Kevin Edwards- but he would not admit this to anyone because he did not want to seem like he cared at all. So under the pretense that he was simply bored and in dire need of female attention, he packed his bags (or trunk, as the case may be) and came home. Soleus quickly began to attend Hogwarts and was sorted straight into Slytherin. Although he has only been attending Hogwarts for quite a short time, Soleus has made an impression on most students. The teachers probably find him a menace, and the students either love him or hate him, most (sadly to Soleus- he wouldn't believe it!) probably being the latter.
Soleus is a very proud Slytherin, and won't even look at any of the other houses. He believes that he is superior and he will let anyone else know the score. He can be a little short-tempered at times, but at others he can be really laid-back and patient. Sometimes Soleus can be possessive or over-protective (especially with his sister's boyfriends, or his past girlfriends) but he can be nice to you if he likes you. Although 'nice' is about as far as he will go. He isn't close to many people, but the people he is close to- he protects with his life. Soleus has a similar personality to his mother's cousin, Sirius Black. Although he was in Gryffindor, he was always up to something. Soleus is similar, but obviously shares his mother's love for the Dark Arts.
Although Soleus comes off as very proud and stubborn he does have a soft spot for Tiffany, and cares about how she is coping. He may bat this off as simply looking after the family name, as if he doesn't want her ruining anything, but really he wants to make sure she is okay in his own naive Soleus way.

A whirl of green sparkles erupted in the large open fireplace, and from it a tall man strode out. He looked down across his clothes and made a small sound of annoyance at the dust that he had accumulated by travelling via the floo network.
"Don't know why we don't just apparate," he grumbled in a low irritated voice, knocking dust from his robe, "be a lot bloody easier."
He took another step forward to the centre of the room and turned on his heel, cocking an infamous eyebrow.
"Mother? .....no?" He ducked to look up the chimney. Nothing. "Okay, suits me." He mumbled, and again glanced down at the dust. Suddenly he roughly cast aside his robe, cursing harshly. He strode through the large archway of the mostly abandoned house. The elf will get it, he thought briefly.
Soleus smiled bitterly as he saw the large drinks cabinet beside the huge ornate staircase, tucked away and dwarfed in comparison. He sauntered over, and leisurely dropped down, eyelevel with the cupboard. He pulled on the door, bloody locked. He thought as he remembered a fond family member who probably had done this to protect her stash. He unlocked the cupboard quickly with his wand and surveyed the various crystal bottles inside.
Of course this was supposed to be a potions stash, but had been mostly replaced by random muggle alcohol concoctions. Soleus found it amusing. We hate them, but let's be honest they make a damn good rum. Maybe we can keep a muggle rum-production factory of some kind. He mused to himself as he found the fullest and most deep amber liquid lurking right at the back of the cabinet, and held it up to the ghostly light trickling through the glass panels in the old windows around him.
Wonder where Tiff is, she could probably do with a drink.
He stretched up, and padded like a cat-who-got-the-cream across the hall to the next room, rum-bottle in hand.
