Work had been manic, just manic. No other word for it and Tallulah knew that it was just going to get worse. She had so many schools (from wizarding primary school up to exams that were taken post Hogwarts). The minister was spending his time shoving his head in the sand from everything that was happening and just throwing extra work at departments. Therefore Tallulah had decided she was going to finish work early and have the rest of her Friday off, and the weekend, and then throw herself into a crazy stir of work for a couple of weeks.
Being home early had its advantages, she'd been grocery (and wine) shopping, showered and gotten comfy clothes on. And by the time Georgina got home Tallulah had dinner on already and the smell filled the apartment. Some kind of cream and wine chicken to go with veg. Meeting the blonde at the door, Tallulah passed her a glass of wine and held up a bag of popcorn. "Girls night in, play some games, chill, drink plenty of wine?"

Georgina had taken her usual quickest route home, heading out of the office & into the more public, apparation-friendly area, & landing in a more private area of the residential area that she lived nearby, walking the last block back to the flat that she shared with Tallulah. The office had been hectic as well, but she, luckily, wasn't in the departments that were under stress. Her area of the building was left mostly to tabloid and celebrity writers, a mixture of buzz-pieces, gossip, and a hint of style. While she wasn't directly under the magnifying glass, she still felt like there was constantly someone breathing down her neck, the second-hand stress leaving her frazzled at the best of times.
When she swung her front door open, already halfway kicking off her high heels, she raised her eyebrows at the more-than-welcome greeting, accepting the glass of wine.
"Baby," she said teasingly, pretending to look worried, "Did I forget our anniversary?" she smirked when she finished speaking, the incredibly warm greeting leaving her feeling as though she'd just shrugged off a heavy cloak made of the stress from the day, leaving it just outside the front door.

Taking a large gulp of her own wine once Georgina had freed up her hands somewhat by taking her own glass, Tallulah swallowed and exhaled softly before letting out a laugh. "Yes, yes you did, you bitch." She answered, head shaking playfully as she placed the unopened packet of popcorn down on the coffee table. "Life is just busy and today is probably the last time you're going to see me speaking coherently outside of work for quite a while."

"Sweetie, if you ever need me to do something, greeting me at the door with popcorn & alcohol is the way to do it." she insisted, taking a sip from her own glass before linking arms with the other girl, smirking as she paraded further into the house with her. "Now. Sit, take a load off." she said somewhat finally, as if there was no point arguing with her as she gently lead the other girl toward one of the couches, leaving her there & then taking her own seat opposite her.
