THEODORE NOTT
Hey there! The name is Jess and I am 19. I have roleplaying for 7 years. The other character I have here is Soleus Lestrange. The character that this application is for is a canon.

Theodore Nott is a canon character from JK Rowling's books. He is a Pureblood Slytherin student in the same year as Harry, who was born to the elderly Mr Nott and his wife Mrs Nott. His mother passed away giving birth to Theo; which is why Theo was one of the only three students in the Care of Magical Creatures lesson in his fifth year who could see the Thestrals. Nott Sr. is one of the 'original' followers of the Dark Lord, and went to school with the aforementioned Tom Riddle, where he was in Slytherin, too.
Theo was brought up by his elderly father but their relationship is not a fantastic one. His father is very old-fashioned and strict and, like many of the other Death eater pureblood families- did not show much love or affection to his only son. Theo is, and always has been, very reserved, shy and clever. He is described as being a solitary boy who spends most of his time alone. He enjoys reading, studying and mostly, Potions. He was brought up to be against Muggleborns and "impure" bloodlines, and he is rather prejudiced but doesn't speak freely about it the way, say Draco Malfoy, would be.
Theodore became a Death eater very recently - even though it wasn't really his choice. His father, being a very proud and loyal follower, insisted that Theo would join him. Theo is not so great at his new occupation, and tries to stay out of the whole situation as best he can. He keeps very secretive anyway so no-one really knows about his status, unless they are involved themselves. Theo would never have gone against his father's wishes as he was brought up to respect his father and do whatever he asked. Theo is actually rather afraid of the Dark Lord, too, and would do anything to stay on his good side. Theo tries to keep in the shadows as much as he can and never volunteers for raids or extra work. He does the bare minimum that he can without being killed for disloyalty.
At school, Theo is a ridiculously bright student. He works hard and enjoys learning, spending most of his spare time studying and researching new topics. He spends a lot of his time in the library or cooped up in a corner somewhere with his nose in a dusty old book. He managed to wrangle a year-long pass for the restricted section and spends hours pouring over the dark spell books there. He would much rather spend all of his time studying and working in a school-environment but, unfortunately for him, is destined to be a follower of the Dark Lord.
He is not a very social creature but ends up spending a lot of time with Soleus, as they have a sort of agreement. Some of the time, Soleus tends to work Theo's Death eater duties while Theo does Soleus' school work and extra credit work, although this is not a constant thing. Soleus likes Theo because he is quiet and takes his crap, and Theo puts up with Soleus because he needs all the help he can get training and the like. He also enjoys spending time with fellow Slytherin bookworm Ashley Godfrey.
Although Theo has a brilliant mind and is great at casting charms, and has the potential to remember libraries of spells, he is not very calm or confident in a physical situation. He is only effective at range and, in battle, for example in the (future) Battle of Hogwarts, Theo tends to hang back and protect the other Death Eaters, a sort of Healer if you will. He is also not very strong and easily overthrown without his wand.

Eventually, sensing Tiffany didn't currently have it in her to think of something funny enough to defeat the boggart, nor the desire to, he stood forward himself, and the Bellatrix in front of them fell down to the floor, dead.
Soleus glanced back to Tiffany, his face set hard, wanting to apologise, soothe, and explain in that one look. He hoped she knew. As he turned back to face the boggart, the crumpled, lifeless form morphed smoothly into a small, broken girl, her mangled wing tattoo freshly cut open and gleaming with bright blood. Tiffany lifted up her head, and pathetically tried to grab the air in front of her, reaching for him.
"Soleus, why didn't you help me?" She said softly, her face full of pain.
Soleus' mouth went dry, and he took a step toward her, his face turning frantic.
"No, no-" He was saying, as the girl's locks turned into golden blonde, her figure filled out from the very thin, fragile Tiffany-boggart.
"Soleus!" Ashley cried, reaching but not quite close enough, mascara smudged and trailing down her face, the fear in her eyes made him feel hollow. As he was panicking, trying to think of a way to make this funny in the slightest, she turned into another girl. First Esma, then Ophelia, then Daphne. Each crumpled, saddened female form that appeared before him took his breath away.
Her long, dark hair clung damply around her tall, bloodstained slender body, Daphne's face contorted, showing more emotion than he had ever seen in reality.
"It's over," She said simply, "Soleus. You failed and now He's killed us all. We're all dead, now." her the life leaving her eyes as she fell to the floor, dead.
Soleus was breathing hard, and in his eyes was something he had been sure he no longer felt; fear.
