[Tiffany Lestrange]

"She's obedient." she replied honestly. The thing had immediately latched onto her protectively when she'd first received it. No doubt it's previous master had been just as demanding of her, but probably didn't feed her as much. "I don't think she had anyone to feed her or take care of her." she paused, adding a little bitterly, "Nor did she get to sleep in a king sized bed." she pouted a little at the thought, but tried her best not to dwell on it. It was easier not to hate the animal when she didn't remind herself that her fiance preferred it's company to her own.

Broderick raised his eyebrows and smirked slightly " why are you pouting? are you scared of your own pet?" he asked genuinely amused.

"She doesn't belong in my bed." she replied, before adding haughtily, "And I don't pout." her dignity would have been rather chipped at, there, if she could muster the care to worry about it at the moment. 

"Besides, I don't have to fear her." she looked over at it chomping away happily & smirked, almost a little smugly.

"you just were pouting." Broderick gave her an amused smirk then shrugged and smirked " it was cute don't worry I wont tell anyone you can express real human emotions."

"You're delusional." she informed him, rolling her eyes in mock-amusement before deciding that Illsa was safe to finish off without being supervised. "She'll be okay, now." she said as she looked back up at the unspeakable, her face back to it's usually vacancy. 

"We can go finish off the kettle." she insisted, looking a little hopeful as it began to get a little cooler outside.

"no you are in denial" Broderick smiled at her charmingly and pushed her shoulder with his finger tips softly a coy grin still on his face as he held the door for her "ladies first"

[Tiffany Lestrange]

She swayed a little, not having steadied herself, then found her balance & rolled her eyes at him, though the gesture was void of any coldness. "Whatever helps you sleep at night." she headed inside, dipping around the doorframe & grabbing her cup of water that had now gone cold - taking the last few sips. The nice thing about having water over tea, it was perfectly fine when it lost it's warmth.

She looked over at the kettle, then up at him expectantly, then her empty mug, not comfortable enough to even ask, let alone help herself.

Broderick just poured her more in her glass and watched her in silence for a few moments before he finally spoke "I am trying to figure you out...but it i proving to be quite difficult."

"Sounds like a wasted effort. I apparently try to seem dark & mysterious." she was a little more rough with handing him the mug than she needed to be, clearly a bit irritated with whoever she'd just quoted. 

"Are you having any luck? What are your notes so far?" she gave him a wicked, almost taunting smirk over the rim of her mug when it was returned to her, taking a sip of the hot water.

Broderick narrowed his eyes at her harsh tone and cocked an eyebrow "not saying" he shrugged and left it at that.

She snorted dismissively, though it was obvious that she was put off by him shutting her down so quickly. Sipping her drink again, she sighed softly. "This needs a slice of lemon." she looked from him to his fridge questioningly, waiting for him to ask if he could grab one for her - no way in hell was she about to walk up & find one herself. She was barely comfortable in her own home enough to do that, let alone an almost-stranger's home. 

"Thank you for the steak, by the way. I'll repay you. Looked like a solid 2 galleons of meat." she knew he wasn't hard for cash, but she also preferred not to have any debts, even if they weren't written in stone.

Broderick nodded and walked over to where he kept his lemons and pulled one out slicing it and plopped a few slices into her glass then chuckled "it's fine really don't worry about it Princess" he commented oblivious with a flap of his hand.

She immediately took a sip as the flavor started to take, choking immediately & slamming the mug down on the counter as she slapped at her chest to get her bodily functions back under control, coughing once, hard, & keeling at the waist a little as she caught her breath.

Broderick instantly widened his eyes and lurched forward his hand resting on her back massaging it lightly in concern "woah, are you alright?" he asked with wide eyes.

[Tiffany Lestrange]

She coughed again, just to get any remaining liquid out of her mouth & nodded weakly.

"Hot." she lied out in a little gasp, rubbing her throat as she straightened herself out & wiped the little wet patches in the corners of her eyes that had appeared when her breathing became difficult. "My fault. Don't - don't worry." she insisted, already sidestepping to get away from the physical contact, jumpy & easily startled. She pulled the scarf from her neck & set it aside, not wanting anything else near her airway to constrict it, revealing the obvious scars & scabs, some old & some new, as always.
