Stamford had been busy speaking with Dumbledore - he could tell that the older, wiser man had been going through some sort of personal process lately - it was almost like he was ill, like he knew he was going to die. It made Stamford uneasy in a way that he couldn't properly explain. He didn't like knowing that the most powerful wizard of all time was possibly as vulnerable as he was. A 'don't meet your heroes' sort of scenario.
He was on his way out of the office, heading down the spiral staircase when he nearly smacked directly into a young girl in Ravenclaw robes.
"So sorry." he muttered, still feeling a bit preoccupied.

Lisa who was in the middle of a very 'serious' discussion with Cho Chang about what she may or may not have been doing with Terry Boot in the Herbiology greenhouses after hours lightly bumped into a man dressed in a suit most likely in his early twenties as he exited Dumbledore's office inhaling sharply her eyes instantly went to her shoes first, eyes narrowed in scrutiny, once she saw that her shoes were indeed not scratched she peered up at who had bumped into her and flashed the attractive man a vibrant smile "thats alright"

"My mistake, really." he insisted, giving her a small smirk as she checked for damage. Granted, he'd probably do the same thing, once he was alone. Any thoughts of Dumbledore had momentarily flown out the window when he realized that this was much more important. If Broderick were there, which he might be any time, now, he'd likely have smacked Stamford upside the back of the head & scolded him for 'accosting the innocent' or something dramatic & sarcastic to that extent.
Though, the other unspeakable could hardly talk about accosting the students, now.
"Are your shoes alright?" he asked, glancing at the other girl before turning back to Lisa, looking as genuinely apologetic as he could. "I'd happily replace them."

Lisa fluttered her lashes and flipped her long blonde hair back "oh stop it" she grinned at him brightly her fingers gently swatting at him "my shoes are fine" cocking her head to the side she gave him a subtle once over "can't help but notice you came from the headmasters office" she inquired innocently
