She pouted, almost unnoticably, when he leaned away from her. Ah well, nice while it lasted.
"There's a forest a third of a mile down the path." she said, though she was sure he had already been to it at least once on his own, if not with other members of the rank. Now, and she hated herself for it, she was blushing again. She wound her hands together in a nervous sort of tell, eyes widening as if to try to portray innocence as she looked at the floor for a moment, before daring to let her eyes flicker back up to his own.

"A forest?" He questioned, his eyebrow cocking once more as he watched her for a moment before he tilted his head, his hand resting on her dresser as he looked just a little puzzled. "And what exactly were you doing in a forest, Tiffany?" He asked simply, not accusingly, but more intrigued than anything.

The blush on her cheek threatened to light her entire face up in flames, but she didn't make any notice to it.
"Like I said, just.. walking." she squirmed on the spot, glancing up at him under her lashes. She felt surprisingly childish, like a child lying to her parents about trying to steal a cookie before dinnertime out of the jar. She nibbled on her lip & it became fairly obvious that whatever it was she was hiding from him, it was only out of personal embarrassment & nothing too serious.

Brent raised an eyebrow as he smirked, just slightly, but it was there. Leaning into the wall a little more, he seemed to relax somewhat as he tilted his head to the side. "Just walking?" He questioned, his voice clear that he believed there would be more to the story than 'just walking'. "I know you seem to like to have this whole dark and mysterious side to you but I don't even think you're weird enough to just go for some random wander in the woods." Dampening his lower lip, he cocked a brow, almost daring her to prove him wrong.

Squirming noticably, she pulled her lower lip into her mouth with her teeth & tried to turn it around, looking up at him in a way that she hoped was coming off as coy.
"You think I'm dark & mysterious?" her tone was teasing, flirting, almost.

Brent raised a brow at her again, his arms folding across his chest as she spoke. "Not what I'm saying, I'm simply mentioning that it seems like you like to think you have it. Though I think I'm pretty good at seeing past it and knowing when you're hiding something from me." Sighing heavily, the taller male stood a little straighter before repeating his previous question.
"What were you doing in the woods?" For Brent he seemed somewhat calm and collected, surprisingly.

She blushed a little more, setting her jaw in frustration before sighing weakly, "Target practice."
She half expected him to laugh or roll his eyes or just openly mock her, but kept her eyes trained on his so that she wouldn't be showing any sort of sign of defeat. Steadying herself a little, she blinked only once & waited impatiently for his reaction.

"Target practice?" He questioned and shifted slightly, moving across the room and bending down to pat the hyena on the head. "What on earth do you practice on in the woods? Worms?" Brent didn't laugh, he just looked unordinary surprised. "I thought hitting targets was supposed to come naturally to your family anyway, whats the practice for? Or have you just developed a blood lust?"

She closed her eyes when he passed her, wondering if he was about to grab her, then opened them slowly when she heard his voice behind her instead, turning around sharply to face him.
"Just.. general practice, I guess. I haven't had enough.. chances to see if I'm any good with moving targets." Most of her kills during the raids had been quick, sneak-attacks, most of the time the victim didn't even see her coming or know she was there, which was fine, though it left her wondering if she'd be able to kill a potential victim that took a run for it. Her mother was naturally quick with her reflexes, able to hit anything almost a hundred feet away at sprinting speed, but Tiff hadn't been exposed to enough to know if she was any good.

"Hmm." He started as he knelt on the floor, stroking the animal. "How's it going then? Getting any better?" He asked sounding almost genuine as he glanced up, locking his gaze on hers. "Think you could take something on when it's running at you yet? Or should we continue to put you on the easier targets?"

Illsa leaned happily into his hand, growling softly under her breath affectionately.
"I - I don't know, I mean, they're mostly always running away." Illsa let out a little cackle, as if agreeing with Tiffany & saying 'Been there, done that.' Tiff's lip twitched a little at the creature, before her eyes flickered to Brent curiously & she shook her head.
"Rabastan is going to be in within the next few weeks. I'll keep training with him." she insisted - her uncle had done most of her training with her, & had taught her an amazing amount of self-control & concentration. She'd forever be in his debt for the countless hours he'd dedicated to making her a better soldier.

Tilting his head to the side. Brent exhaled heavily as he reached for his own wand. His reflexes were next to none, he was good when it came to moving targets. "Why do you need your uncle when you have me?" He questioned and stood, brushing himself from the thigh down. "Lets go put this into practice, hm?" He questioned, though it wasn't really a question, more a demand, raising an eyebrow as he looked at her before moving towards a drawer he'd claimed as his own and pulled out a clean shirt. "Get ready, I'll change out of these-" he gestured to his blood stained clothes. "Have a quick wash and we'll see just how fast you can get these animals."

She cleared her throat nervously, before standing up to her full height & trying not to look terrified out of her mind.
"Uhm. Yeah." she looked at him innocently casually sunk onto the edge of the bed, wondering if he'd kick her out to wash & change, hoping not. If he was about to kick her ass in training, the least he could do was give her a strip show before hand. Resting her shaking hands lightly onto her knees, she rubbed them against her legs to relieve a little of the sudden claminess to them.

Brent wandered across the room, pushing the bathroom door open as he tugged his torn and bloody shirt over his head. Leaving the door open he run some water into the sink and used a flannel to wash off some of the dried on blood before using a clean towel to dry off his skin. Exhaling in the mirror, he looked at the cut on his chin again and shook his head, making a mental note to cause just that little bit more pain next time he came across Phe.
Walking back into the bedroom, he pulled a clean shirt over his head and undid his belt of his jeans, letting them drop before kicking them under the bed and moving to the drawer to pick up another clean pair to pull on. Buttoning them up, he then reached for a old slytherin quiddich team hoodie that he had from his school days and pulled it over his head before slipping his wand into the pocket.
Turning towards her he raised an eyebrow as though wondering why she wasn't stood by the door yet.

Too busy watching him, staring at the way that his muscles shifted & tensed under his skin with every movement, she felt a strange sort of homesickness welling up in her - homesickness for her old life, almost. She missed it when her first instinct at that sort of sight would have been to grin & bite on her lip & blush, get all excited & want to grab him, whoever 'he' happened to be at the time & wrestle them onto the bed, making them undress all over again.
Instead, she hoisted herself up & stepped back into the ankle boots that she'd kicked off when she first came into the room, tightening the holster on her hip that held her wand. Illsa lifted her head from the floor & looked hopeful, tail rising up. Walk? she was trying desperately to convey, without having the ability to speak it aloud.
