Soleus' lips pulled into a small smile as he watched her blush. "You really don't have to be nervous, sweetheart. It's just me. I know you aren't flirting with me. People don't tend to flirt with me. I tend to flirt with them." He winked again, and reveled in the fact that he made her slightly uncomfortable, as he loved to find out what made individuals tick and how they would react to him. Maybe it came from his darker side, the side that was curious to see the people that he and his colleagues kill- or worse- struggle and eventually fade. He loved to perform something and watch the series of events or feelings it created unfold before him.
"Well, I hope you don't mind getting them from me. I feel the need to express my admiration." He tipped his head down, smirking yet again, but in a friendly way.

"of course I-I don't mind" Ashley stammered out blushing furiously "why would I mind? w-what girl doesn't like getting complimented" she smiled at him bashfully once again her head cocking to the side and hair cascading of to one side.

Soleus smiled, content with her reply and enjoying the pink blooming beneath the skin of her cheeks. "Perfect," he purred in reply, but in his head he meant it as a compliment. His small smile widened into a grin, "I'm so glad."
His thoughts wandered as he watched her, soft curls dancing around her neck... and what a delectable neck... Soleus wondered things he probably shouldn't wonder about Ashley Godfrey, and he clenched his jaw slightly, battling the thoughts away. He spoke to distract himself, focusing on the deep blue pools of her eyes rather than the delicate surface of her pink flesh. "Why do I make you nervous? You don't need to be so nervous around me. You'd think spending time around Slytherin boys all the time you'd be used to it?"

"You are away a lot Soleus but not so much that you are not aware of how people feel about me" Ashley peeked up at him and half smiled shyly "I'm not complaining the less confrontation the better but it's pretty obvious the boys in this house do not like me aside from a few and unfortunately a lot of other houses make assumptions about me because of my house" Ashley looked away from his gaze after a few minutes chewing on her lower lip in nervousness once again.

Soleus half smiled in return, and tiredly scratched his face. "That's a shame. You're not all bad." He said, eyes heavy-lidded and the corner of his lips pulled up slightly. "And don't worry about the other houses, beautiful." His trademark smirk was rather lazy-looking by now. He wanted to talk about how they were inferior, but kept his usual views quiet in favour of keeping the conversation pleasant. He knew that their views conflicted somewhat, but he did like Ashley and wouldn't want to lose their friendship.

Ashley looked over at Soleus and smiled at his expression "You must be tired I'm sorry for keeping you awake" She shifted in her seat gently "You should get some rest it was nice to see you" she rose to her feet and stretched her arms over her head then grinned at him shyly " I might have even missed you a little " She teased then without warning leaned in and hugged him good night "G'night Soleus" With that she ambled up the stairs quite sleepy herself

Soleus, beginning to look very sleepy, was caught off guard momentarily as he wasn't expecting the hug. He hardly had chance to react before the blonde left him in the seating area alone. He looked a bit confused at what just happened, and it took a few seconds for him to register what she had said. "Oh, really?" He called after her, knowing she was too far away to reply with her timid voice. He smiled a small smile to himself, and shook his head slightly, laughing internally at her, and wondering if she actually had any idea what a breath of fresh air her light, friendly personality was to be around compared to his normal life. He sprawled out in the seat, throwing his legs over the seat and let his eyes close, too lazy to move to his dormitory.
