Ashley had been slightly improving in her mood and falling back into her old routine of spending time outside of the classroom or library other than work, but this weekend she was just tired and wanted some time at home not doing much of anything, curling up on the couch in her living room with one of her favorite books she wore her light pink slipper boots a pair of black leggings a ridiculously large and comfy sweater with her hair pulled carelessly back from her eyes, her eyes scanned over the words a happy grin on her face as she sat reading and sipping on her lemon tea.

Thorfinn had been planning on staying out late, wanting to avoid home if he could, since Broderick had the day off. He picked up two Christmas-y coffees & took them to Ashley's, hoping she would be around to talk to for a bit.
Heading up the front steps of the obscenely feminine home, he knocked carefully on the door as if worried it was made of sugar & would crumble, then stood back to wait.

Ashley peeked up from her book when she heard a knock on the door and rose to her feet shuffling along to the door, she swung it open and smiled sweetly when she saw who it was "oh hello Thorfinn" she spoke softly pushing her glasses up her nose.

"I totally wasn't in the neighborhood, but, uh, I brought you a coffee?" He held it out to her in offering, looking hopeful & a little relieved that she seemed to be in better spirits.

"I actually don't drink coffee but I would love to make you a cup?" Ashley widened her eyes a hopeful smile on her face as she gestured for him to come inside and stepped into the kitchen her cheeks turning red when she realized that there hung mistletoe over the doorway. "I-oh..." she turned away and looked down shyly "y-y-you can just ignored that I um..."

He smoothly dipped down & tilted up her chin, planting a very light, chaste kiss on her lips before standing upright with a small smile & continuing into the kitchen, casual. "Mugs are top left, right?" He asked before opening one of the cupboards.

Ashley momentarily stunned just stood on the spot with still pink cheeks and a smitten grin on her face, giggles erupted from her lips as she swayed where she was standing until she shook her head and snapped herself out of it "I-I'm sorry what?" she asked softly.

"I found them, don't worry." He gave her a charming grin & took down a mug, opening the coffee & pouring it in, inhaling the aromatic steam happily for a moment.

Ashley stared at his lips with wide eyes unable to tear them away, biting on her own she peeked up at him through her lashes as she played with a loose piece of hair from her ponytail "o-oh good" she finally managed to pry her eyes away and shyly looked at the ground still blushing as she shuffled her feet.

He chuckled softly, "sorry, didn't mean to take you off guard." He didn't /look/ very sorry. Taking a sip of his coffee & then setting down the mug, he looked at her with a small grin.
"What did I interupt?" He asked curiously, gesturing to her.

"NO I-I mean it's fine don't worry about it" Ashley continued to smile as she sat down beside him and shrugged "nothing really I was just curled up reading as usual" she half-smiled looking up at him through her lashes.

"Anything good?" He asked playfully, nudging her gently & then looking at her curiously, genuinely interested. They shared a love of books, if nothing else.

"well obviously" Ashley grinned and nudged him softly "but I find most books interesting" she nodded then scooted in a little closer to him "I-I um..I don't want it to seem like I am always bringing him up b-b-but I was wondering uh.Soleus never told you why we ended things right?" she couldn't help but be nervous that Soleus mentioned it was not only her being in danger but her feelings for him that ended her short lived engagement.

"No, but a) I don't have clearance like that & b) he & I weren't, & still aren't, very close." He looked at her honestly. "I'm sorry that I can't give you more closure than that."

Ashley instantly looked relieved and shook her head "oh no I wasn't looking for closure I-I know why it ended I-I just was worried he told you I-" her eyes widened as she stared in horror, how could she be so stupid she was just so relieved he didn't know the very thing she was about to reveal herself "t-t-that I-I um....I almost stupidly got attacked by Greyback" she added hastily.
