Soleus appeared in a flurry of green flames in the large fireplace in what would have been the second living room of the Manor, if they had been a normal functioning family. Instead the room now held random artefacts and bits from raids. The house had become a sort of weird inn for Death Eaters, a place where they could stay safely since the Malfoy arrest. Upon arrival, he screwed up his nose a little, and, brushing soot off his coat, walked towards the large archway leading into the entrance hall. "Ophelia." He smirked, his way of a friendly greeting, as he saw her walking through the Manor. "Don't know how you've managed to evade me so well recently in this one house."

Phe was walking from the kitchen back up to her room. She'd sort of taken to a 'be unseen and unheard' way of life in the manor lately. That way she could mainly avoid causing herself physical pain. That and she'd been spending more time at her real home as she fancied her chances more with the creatures that go bump in the night over Brent.
Pulling her hair over her shoulder with one hand as she carried a glass of water in the other, the short brunette stopped in her tracks as she saw her only slightly older cousin. The click of her heels silencing as she did. "Soleus" she replied in a sort of way that said 'hello' at the same time. Using her free hand she brushed her fingers through her hair again and gave him a small smirk before replying somewhat playfully. "Ah, maybe I'm just doing a good job of avoiding you?" Her voice teased as she raised the glass of water to her lips, taking a small sip. "I've been busy." She added simply as she lowered the glass again. "What's your excuse?"

Soleus smirked in a friendly way at her words. "My excuse? You know I don't have one. Not really." He mused, unfastening the clip at his neck and throwing his cloak on top of a dusty chest stacked on top of another in the corner, deciding that Trixie could fetch it later. She didn't do enough as it was, he thought absent-mindedly while he watched the dust plume a little as his cloak fell. "I've been away a lot myself. Important engagements." He said simply.

"Aw, could of at least humoured me!" Phe retorted, trying to bring some brightness to the dim room. Her hand combed weakly through her hair again as she walked a little closer to him, her features looking a little tired, noticeable only for the lack of make up she donned, her pretty features looking less sharp. Blinking tiredly, Phe dampened her lower lip, her free hand dropping to run the end of her finger around the glass, stopping half way around to let her finger dance carefully over a tiny chip before slipping simply around the rest of the glass.
"Engagements?" She responded as she glanced at him through her lashes. "Work engagements or romantic engagements?" She questioned, cocking her brow just a little as she raised the glass to her mouth once more.

Soleus watched how she moved and noticed how frail she had recently become. Soleus clenched his jaw momentarily, his smirk vanishing. He hated Yaxely more than anything. Actually, that wasn't true. He hated the position he was in not to do anything even more. He calmed his face, he was starting to get used to dealing with Brent's aftermath, and this was just the same. It still chilled him to the bone, though, to see someone different to Tiffany, again, hurt in the same way. He tried to bring his smirk back, but it was empty.
"A little of both, you could say." He said simply, unsure of whether Ophelia had heard of the Ashley situation with her being cooped up or absent so often.

Although it was an accompanying factor, Brent wasn't the main perpetrator in Phe's smaller frame, more the breakup with Luke, though, she was slowly recovering with that and managed to hide her feelings on the matter pretty well. Simply stating it was 'imperative' that they ended things because it 'was for the best'. Though, Brent definitely didn't help, the blood loss made her feel weaker, made her lose weight that wasn't really there to be lost. Though, she was still a good, healthy, weight, she just simply wasn't as tones as usual.
"Hm, tell me about it." She spoke, her gaze capturing his properly as her finger danced around the rim of her glass again. "How is Miss Prudent?"

Soleus raised one side of his mouth into a half smirk. "If you're talking about Godfrey she's surprisingly well." He said calmly, and looked almost confused by what he'd said as he said it. "yeah, she seems a lot better now," he shrugged, "than when, y'know, when we first found out." A small guilty smile touched his mouth, lips pressed hard together. Then his expression changed as if he has remembered something.
He then shrugged off another layer under his black cloak- a grey muggle-looking trench coat - and folded it into the crook of his arm. "Better not let my Mother see that," He smirked a little, taking the three packets of cigarettes out of the pockets and stuffing them into his trouser pockets. He then pulled his wand out from the back of his belt, where he had had it hidden, "might not end well."

Moving her hand to rub at the back of her neck as he spoke, Ophelia nodded her head so slightly it was barely a nod at all. "Making the best of a bad situation, I assume?" The brunette questioned as her hand dropped. "Chin up, you could have it worse, I guess."
Cocking her brow as she took another sip of water from the glass she was holding. Lowering the glass, Ophelia dampened her lower lip. "Been hanging out with the muggles, have you?"

Soleus nodded back, but his was more obvious.
"I agree. We'll see what happens." He said nonchalantly and then smirked a small smirk. "Hardly. Ran out." He tapped his now-full pockets with a smile. "I'd rather get someone else to do the dirty work and I buy them off someone else but, it's fun to confuse the Muggles a bit. The girl who served me was so dumbstruck she forgot to charge me. Must have been the confundus charm... Or the stunning looks." He smirked.

It was true, although Phe and Ashley weren't friends and probably never would be, she still believed he could have it worse, which he could, he could be engaged to someone like Tiff who would manipulate and abuse him both physically and mentally. At least he'd escaped that fate.
"It'll be fine, you're actually kind of lucky, no? At least she's not already related somewhere on our tree, meaning you're escaping the reusing of already planted branches." Clearly, Phe was referring to the fact that Soleus and Ashley weren't related already, and therefore it was bringing fresh blood into the tree and avoiding yet more interbreeding. "I see." She answered as she gave him a slightly unimpressed look before dropping it and turning her expression back to normal. "Oh!" She started, shuffling a little closer to him so she could punch him weakly in the arm with her free hand. "Well clearly not the latter." She teased, playful grin playing on the corner of her lips.

Soleus pouted a little, in good nature. "It's because you're my cousin." He said, his only explanation for her response. "You can't see it." He smiled.
"Yeah... I'm glad they didn't try and put me with you." He grinned, trying to make a joke. "And Ashley's, well, she's something." He said, and then walked a few steps forward through the hall to his favourite cabinet. "Want a drink?" He asked, his face disappearing behind a dark mahogany cupboard door. "A real one," he added, nodding once at her glass of water.

"Hm, that must be it." She responded with a shake of her head, her free hand moving to tuck her hair behind her ear.
"Please don't even let that thought cross your mind ever again." She laughed weakly, catching on the joke and nudging him softly in the side. "Something meaning?" The tiny brunette questioned. "Hm, what's going?" Placing her glass down on a table in the hall, Phe figured Trixie would get to cleaning it up.

Soleus glanced up, smiling a little. "Why... wouldn't you date me? I'm adorable." An eyebrow cocked, clearly joking. He riffled through the cabinet to the very back where he hid the fully bottles in a secret compartment away from the other Death Eaters now living in the house. Speaking into the cabinet again, he said, "Does it matter?" He pulled out a half-full bottle of something dark in colour and grinned, obviously in a pleasant mood, grabbing the two squat crystal goblets that lived inside the open-shelved part of the cabinet.

"Thats grim." Phe answered with a smirk, her head shaking. "Just grim." Phe glanced down at her nails, picking at some loose skin around the nail bed of her thumb, only wincing slightly as she tore at it, pulling a tiny bit of skin away causing her thumb to bleed a minuscule amount. Placing her thumb in her mouth she shrugged, mumbling incoherently. "Guess not." She retorted, walking towards Soleus, her hands wringing together.

Soleus poured her a generous measure, holding it out in her direction, not looking up while he poured the other glass. He glanced over again, and cocked an eyebrow. "You need a manicure, Ophelia." He said quietly, then replaced the stopper on the glass, swinging the bottle loosely back into it's place. "Could at least look after yourself." He remarked cruelly, but his mouth was turned up into a friendly smirk.
