Eddie had just made a trade in Knockturn and was headed back to Diagon, wincing as the light from the bright street shone in his eyes he whistled a chipper tune to himself while walking down the Diagonal cobble stone path, stopping at a local cafe, he fancied himself a coffee and stepped up to the counter ordering his drink, as it appeared in front of him he grabbed the warm cup and sat himself own at a secluded table in the corner as usual and flicked open the daily prophet.

Ask Georgina #396 Dear Georgina, I'm desperately trying to find the perfect skirt to complete my outfit for the weekend - my boyfriend has sprung a surprise getaway to meet his parents for the first time on me, & I've decided to play it safe. Dressy, but sweet. Attractive, but modest. I want to give them the right impression, but of course, not openly lie to them about myself, outfit-wise. Any advice?
Georgina's face smirked up at him from the pages of the Prophet, eyes coy & inviting, though her lips were upturned at the corners in a sort of mocking expression, as if to taunt anyone that thought they could stop to look at her. The advice column was taking up the majority of the page, as she answered in detail a young woman's question about appropriate-per-event skirt lengths in great, essay-like detail. Unknown to either of them, the actual Georgina Hurtz sat one table away from the young man, her cappuccino cooling to just a drinkable temperature on the table in front of her as she flicked through a large stack of letters, trying to find something worth writing about. It was meant to be her night off, but she was absolutely swamped.

Eddie glanced up from the article he was reading his eyes following to the blonde he was just looking at once again only now in person cocking his head to the side he smirked slightly when he caught the girls eye, gesturing to the paper he gave her a playful thumbs up then flipped the page his eyes landing on the sports section catching up on the rank his favorite quidditch team was currently on.

She caught his eye for a brief moment, then quirked one eyebrow in confusion, before realizing what he was gesturing to & smirking, giving him a small 'nice to meet a fan' nod, glancing back down at her work. She'd give him an eight, maybe eight-point-five, if he let the stubble grow out a bit more. She settled on two of her letters, desperately trying to decide to title the article with the piece about a pureblood witch marrying into another pureblood family - but to a squib, & one messily scrawled letter about a growing issue with Hogwarts students 'licking the squid', as it was so aptly named.
"Need another one, love?" the man carrying a large thermos-like container of cappucinno asked her as he approached her table, looking to top up her drink. She glanced up quickly & did a double take, before nodding to her glass mug.
"Desperately." she insisted, chuckling to herself before asking curiously, "Do you have any idea what 'licking the squid' means? I'm assuming they aren't literally giving the poor thing oral, or there'd be a lot more reported fatalities."

Eddie cocked an eyebrow smirking when he heard the blonde asking the man working what licking the squid meant, chuckling to himself he glanced over at the girl giving her an amused grin then flicked the page of his paper whistling to himself as if asking for her attention.

As the man left, perplexed, to get a round of drinks for a group of cold students who bustled inside & took up a larger table near the doorway, Georgina turned her attention on the boy sitting across from her, a table over.
"Yes? Something to share?" she asked, her tone a mixture of curious about what he had to say & irritated that he felt the need to share anything at all, her eyes following the cafe owner for a moment before training back onto Eddie.

Eddie chuckled huskily and locked her eyes on him clearly not intimidated, she was beautiful that much was obvious but Eddie was quite used to dealing with beautiful woman , with his constant travels. " he questioned innocently smirking cheekily before he finally opened up "licking the squid is a term for partaking in it's slime, there are very few people who /actually/ attempt to go and lick the squid there are some however who catch it and vial its slime then sell it." he shrugged looking completely innocent as if he would never do such a thing.

She snapped her fingers as his words started interesting her, the quill next to her leaping to life & beginning to write what he said in extensive detail as she leaned in & listened to him curiously.
"Do you know anyone who does?" she asked, "Catch it, I mean." she bit her lip, eyes wide with curiosity.

Eddie kept a completely straight face and shook his head "no, not a clue they would have to be right out of their mind though the squid is not exactly the friendliest of creatures in the black lake, so I hear anyway I don't get out to the lake much I travel a lot with my parents" he shrugged stuffing his hands in his pockets.

The quill kept scrawling on the parchment, using the force of it's figure to knock the page out of the way once it was full & move on to another.
"Ever done it?" she asked, her tone lower, almost coy, like she could seduce the truth out of him.

Eddie's interest peeked at her tone, chuckling to himself he looked up at her and playfully used the same tone she just had "I don't lick and tell"

The quill wrote down a very definite, noticable 'yes' & underlined it severely, twice.
Georgina smirked up at him after glancing at the page & then tilted her head to the side curiously, "Alright, then, anonymous, tell me from a strictly educational perspective - what does it do?"

Eddie cocked an eyebrow at the quill "careful you might not want to feed your readers false information" he tsked playfully then looked up at the girl his eyes locking on hers "I wouldn't know" he commented innocently not planning on giving up any information for free like always.

She sighed softly & shook her head.
"I'll find someone else, then." she set the coins down to pay for her drink on the table, before picking up his tab as well as the cafekeeper came around to collect the money. "For your oh so valuable time." she insisted to him playfully, heading for the door & hiking up her hood as she saw it was beginning to get a little misty out.

Eddie shook his head and swiftly in a sneaky fashion placed the money back into her robes pocket along with hers, side stepping so he was in front of her he bit down on his lower lip and cocked his head to the side "the truth is that information I gave you is flimsy at best, just gossip around the school but well you can't blame me for wanting an excuse to talk to you" it was complete and utter bs but the wide eyed look on his face was really the main selling point he was going for here.
