[Soleus Lestrange]

Soleus looked at her with a thoughtful expression, his mouth set into a more serious line.
"If I could get you out of this..." He motioned vaguely between them, "would you want me to?" He raised a questioning eyebrow, and then looked away and shrugged, "I mean I'm not saying I can but-" He sighed, obviously verbalizing his thoughts "But what if I did, and we ended up worse off?" He questioned, wondering outloud rather than actually expecting a proper answer.

Ashley smiled at Soleus kindly and slipped her finger into his squeezing it gently "I'm ok, I don't want us to let them down and I meant it when I said I cared about you I-I know I'm not ideal as that I'm probably the last person you can see yourself with so of you did try to get out of it I'd understand but , I could never do that nor do I want to" she smiled genuinely and nodded.

Soleus raised an eyebrow, listening to her and softly feeling the skin of her hand.
"You're not the last person I see myself with I just... I never really thought about it at all, really." He sighed a little.

"Well if you decide you don't want to do this anymore let me know" she smiled shyly and shrugged , she kept her hand in his playing with his fingers a tiny smile on her face "ill do whatever you want"

[Soleus Lestrange]

Soleus gave her a look, and scratched the back of his neck awkwardly.
"Do you think my Mother would give me much choice anyway?" He said, unsure what she would think.

Ashley shrugged and looked down "there is one way you could get out of it...if you til her my views I mean it would end badly for me....obviously but if you really wanted out there is no way shed let you marry a..." She looked down and sighed sadly "you know..."

Soleus frowned, and tipped his head a little to match her, looking down.
"I... I don't understand," He said softly, scratching his chin-stubble absent-mindedly, and making a mental note to shave soon.

"Soleus" she gave him a look "if you told your mother that I wasn't I mean you know I don't exactly approve of what you are fighting for..." She looked down sadly "I'm a .." She trailed off as whispered sadly "blood traitor..you should hate me" she didn't like to talk about it but its what she was she knew it was unacceptable according to the majority of people she spoke to so she just didn't talk about it and most people assumed she followed in line with her pure family.

Soleus moistened his bottom lip, uncomfortable with the turn the conversation had took.
On one hand, she was right, Soleus should most definitely hate her, but the more pressing feeling he had was of the fact that if his mother found out she'd probably take more action than simply calling off the engagement, and the thought of his mother going after Ashley made him want to down a bottle of Firewhiskey, and then another. Plus, she wasn't really harming anyone. Her views were obviously obscene to him but it wasn't like she'd ever stand up against it, or so he hoped. He eyed her tiny delicate wrists and heart shaped porcelain face. She wasn't exactly a threat. Just a girl born into the wrong situation who wasn't dumb enough to sing it to the world. He didn't hate her at all.

"Ashley. You know I'd never do that to you. The best thing for you to do is keep your head down and your mouth closed." He said, and then blinked a few times, feeling he may have been a little harsh. But it was true and he wanted her to know the severity of the situation, even though she probably already knew the ins and outs of it, with her father and all. But if he did marry her and his family did find out about her views, then he could be actually removed from the family tree- and what would he be then?

Ashley looked pained for a moment at his words not that he said them, she knew he was right but because he was right and she knew that she had to keep her mouth closed not only for her own safety but for the safety of her family and now Soleus, she nodded and looked up at him sheepishly "I know...I don't like confrontation anyway" she mumbled meekly sheepishly fiddling with her fingers "I sort of hoped you liked me enough not to throw me at your mothers mercy" she smiled a tiny little smile trying to lighten the mood.

Soleus flashed her a small grin, happy for the light-hearted response she had offered him.
"Well keep it in mind." He warned, his face setting into a mock-serious expression. "If you don't behave you know where you're going." He cocked an eyebrow, a smirk creeping across his expression, much happier with a non-serious conversation than the looming truths in his life that he could never properly face.

Ashley bit on her lower lip then widened her eyes as if she were genuinely worried  "well then I guess I will just have to rethink that stream of insults I was going to yell at you" she gently nudged his hip with hers smiling at him through her lashes then slipped her hand into his without warning "come to the great hall with me? I am starving hopefully dinner is still going on" she widened her eyes hopefully this time "please?"

Soleus pursed his lips as if he was about to tut at her, then looked down at her hip when she nudged him, and he took hold of it without warning, pulling her a little closer.
"Of course. I'm hungry too," He smirked, and pulled her in for a kiss.

Ashley widened her eyes in surprise when he pulled her into a kiss but didn't step away, she smiled against his lips fondly then pulled away her cheeks a soft pink color "oh good..w-w-www-we should go do that" she hiccuped shyly then let out a nervous giggle before turning away from him and walking back towards the school.
